Ski Design Tech

It is amazing what this company (Fischer) is doing with their skis these days. they have found out that just by modifying the shape and density of the ski, that it will completely change the way the ski works. I.E. they designed a ski just for powder with a special tip and tail on it so that when the rider goes down the mountain in powered it is easier for the skier to stay on top of the snow. They also added reenforcement to the interior of the ski so that when the skier goes to make a hard turn the ski will grip better on the snow instead of sliding out. Just blow my mind learning about what actually makes up a ski.
